Infertility Treatment

Female Infertility Treatment

Female infertility treatment has come a long way in the last decade. Couples who didn't think they could conceive a child together are now able to visit an infertility clinic and seek the kind of support and assistance they require to have a baby.

One of the most important things that you need to know about infertility problems is that the sooner you are able to treat them the easier it may be. If you are under the age of 35 and have been unable to conceive despite having unprotected sexual intercourse for at least a year, you may consider consulting an infertility specialist at an infertility clinic.

Causes of Infertility

Infertility is often considered as a female problem. This is not really true. Research suggests that one third infertility cases are caused due to women's infertility, males infertility accounts for another one third cases and physiological incompatibility is the cause of infertility in approximately 13% cases. Unexplained infertility accounts for 10% of infertility cases. Thus males infertility isn't as uncommon as one might think it is.

Today male infertility treatment and female infertility therapy have advanced tremendously and show significant rates of success. The therapy that would be recommended for a patient would be based on her case history and cause of infertility.

Causes of Women's Infertility

Infertility in women may be due to several reasons.
• Fibroids
• Polycystic ovarian
• Endometriosis
• Menstrual suppression
• Ovulatory problems such as premature ovarian failure, uterine factors and anovulation.
• Eating disorders have also been known to play havoc with the female reproductive system.

Treating Female Infertility

An infertility specialist would be able to recommend required tests to determine whether men infertility or women infertility is the reason for the inability to conceive.

Female infertility treatments may approach infertility in women in varied ways depending on the causes of infertility. These may include progesterone infertility treatment, hormone therapy, herbal infertility treatment and dhea infertility treatment.

Fertility drugs may be prescribed to a woman and these may include progesterone, Gonadotropins, GnRH Agonists or GnRH Antagonists. Besides medical treatment being provided by a doctor it is important that women diet be healthy and nutritious. Obesity and eating disorders can cause problems in menstruation and in turn infertility. A good diet can help avoid this.

If nothing else works IVF or In-vitro fertilisation may be considered. In this case with the help of Assisted Reproductive Treatment egg and sperm are joined in an infertility clinic setting and then embryo is placed in the woman's womb.

If you are a woman, less than 35 years of age and unable to get pregnant despite having regular unprotected intercourse for a year or more then it is advisable for you to consider female infertility treatment.
