Female Fertility

Female Fertility

Understand female fertility and you will know when you will ovulate and you can use this knowledge to plan or avoid pregnancy.

Unfortunately because female fertility is a neglected area in health education there is a lot of ignorance about fertility signs and female ovulation which we shall try to overcome in the next few paragraphs.

Fertility

Knowing fertility signs and being able to predict when female ovulation occurs is an important skill and one that every woman should have.

Your body will give you clear clues and signals as to when fertility is approaching and occurring. A woman is fertile when she is ovulating and ovulation usually occurs mid female fertility cycle. By finding out a little more about the female fertility cycle by using a female fertility test you will know when you have peak female fertility. Natural female fertility will be experienced before and during ovulation, and then you are infertile for the remainder of your cycle.

There are two fertility signs you can monitor easily.

Basal Body Temperature.

This is your temperature immediately after awakening. Keep a thermometer and a female fertility chart by your bed and chart the results.

Age

Women 35 and older are not automatically female infertility candidates. Female infertility factors mean a forty year old could have no problem conceiving. It is just that the number of eggs a woman produces each cycle diminishes from her mid-thirties onwards and therefore the chances of getting pregnant become less in comparison to someone in their early twenties. Ask your infertility specialist about a clomiphene challenge test.

Stress

Just as we like to plan everything in our lives, we feel it should be easy to have children when we choose to. However, unlike a vacation we are unable to book on a certain day months in advance. This does contribute to stress and this is the last thing you want when you are struggling to come to terms with female infertility. Unknown reasons

On occasions, thankfully less than 10% of the time the cause of female infertility is unknown. This is the scariest diagnosis because when you are faced with it, you really do not know what to do. And the inability to fight back is the worst possible situation an infertile women can find herself in and if you haven't already done so get yourself a pregnancy wheel. In most cases the cause of female fertility issues will be pointed out clearly by a fertility test and medical check ups.

Family History

Yes it might be hereditary. You find out that a family member or a member of your husband's family has had trouble conceiving and they have had to go through infertility treatments before having their first child gives you a higher probability of having to go through the female infertility screening questions. It also might be overcome with a procedure called intrauterine insemination.
